  • Hi! In this video, I’m going to address what a content strategy is, why it’s crucial for your small business and your SEO, and I’ll explain what my content strategy services include.

    A content strategy is just a plan for what you’re going to put on your website—in the text. We’ll talk about it in terms of a blog, because that’s the most common place to add high-quality content for your customers.

    In a content strategy, you would have a list of blog posts that you plan to publish over a certain period of time. For each of those blog posts, you would have organized and researched keywords you’re targeting, topics you’re covering, Q&As you’re addressing, and the headings you’re including.

    A content strategy is essential for your small business because it gives you a roadmap that covers all of the bases your customers might be searching for. When you or someone else creates a content strategy, they’re looking at all the main topics your potential customers would search for and making sure you’re addressing them throughout your website. They’re also making sure your pages are linked internally, have strong calls to action, use the right keywords, and align with your business goals.

    The main purpose is to help your customers find you based on what they’re actually searching for—and that’s exactly what helps your website’s SEO. The more relevant keywords you have embedded into your site—the ones people are truly searching for—the more often you’ll show up in search results for those queries.
