Fractional SEO Lead

I turn SEO into a real growth channel in your marketing.

Work with me

SEO leadership without another disconnected agency

Let’s be honest.

You don’t care about SEO because it’s “best practice”. You care about it because clients who win at organic search:

  • Rely less on paid ads

  • Covert better over time

  • Compound results instead of resetting every month

  • Stay longer

  • Pay higher retainers

  • Trust your leadership more

SEO isn’t a tactic. It’s leverage.

But most marketing leaders don’t have the time (or desire) to own it properly.

That’s where this role exists.

Why SEO matters in your marketing

When SEO is ignored, clients experience…

  • constant pressure to “do more” without better results

  • short-lived campaigns that don’t compound

  • websites that look good but don’t perform

  • rising paid acquisition costs

  • blogs that don’t drive leads

And guess who absorbs that pressure?

You do.

In contrast, when SEO is owned strategically…

  • messaging gets sharper because search reveals real demand

  • conversion rates improve because intent is clearer

  • content keeps working after campaigns end

  • paid + organic support each other

  • results become more predictable

That’s not just an SEO win.
That’s a marketing win.

The real problem with SEO (and why many marketers avoid it)

Most marketers don’t ignore SEO because they don’t believe in it. They avoid it because…

  • SEO vendors overpromise and underdeliver

  • execution lives in silos

  • no one owns outcomes

  • reporting doesn’t map to revenue

  • it’s one more thing to manage

So SEO becomes:

  • “nice to have”

  • “we’ll outsource it”

  • “we tried that once”

  • or quietly abandoned altogether

Which is a missed opportunity, for both you and your clients.

What changes with SEO leadership

I embed as your Fractional SEO Lead.

Not an agency.

Not a vendor.

Not a list of monthly deliverables.

I own organic search as a revenue channel the same way a paid media lead owns ads, or a social media manager manages the social outcomes.

That means:

  • Clear strategy (aligned with yours)

  • Clear priorities

  • Clear accountability

  • Real integration with how marketing actually works

So SEO stops being a liability or something you have to manage, and starts becoming an asset that works with you.

Work With Me

Why this makes you more valuable

This role exists to support your leverage, not to compete with it.

When SEO works…

  • Your strategies last longer

  • Your results are better over time

  • Your campaigns are easier to execute

  • Your clients rely on you more

  • Your retainers are become a no-brainer

Your clients will get better results, which means you have more value.

How this works

Step 1: SEO Growth Plan (first 15 days)

We start with strategy and onboarding.

I create a SEO Growth Plan that ties SEO directly to business outcomes (not vanity metrics), and aligns with current marketing goals and sprints in place.

This includes:

  • A clear assessment of the current SEO situation (technical, content, authority, etc)

  • Search demand and intent mapping (what should be driving growth)

  • Content and site structure priorities

  • SEO integration points with content, web, PR, email, and social

  • A realistic 90-day execution roadmap

  • Clear KPIs tied to revenue, pipeline, or conversions

This gives you something you can actually lead with, internally and with clients.

Step 2: Ongoing SEO Leadership (monthly)

This is the core of the role.

I don’t just “advise” on SEO.

I own it.

On an ongoing basis, I:

  • Set SEO priorities and strategy

  • Guide content direction and optimization

  • Define technical SEO requirements (what needs to be built or fixed)

  • Oversee internal linking and site structure

  • Coordinate with:

    • content writers

    • web developers

    • PR / link partners

    • social and email teams (for distribution)

You don’t manage vendors.

You don’t chase tasks.

You don’t translate SEO into executive language.

I do that.

Step 3: Integration, not isolation

SEO doesn’t work in a silo, and most agencies still treat it like one.

I integrate SEO into:

  • Messaging and positioning

  • Content strategy

  • Site architecture

  • Conversion pathways

  • Distribution and promotion

This makes SEO usable, not theoretical.

Work With Me

Step 4: Reporting you can actually use

No bloated dashboards. No keyword tracking with no context.

You get:

  • Clear progress against the growth plan

  • Organic performance tied to business goals

  • Honest assessments of what’s working, what’s blocked, and what’s next

  • Language you can confidently use with leadership or clients

I’ll even hop into client meetings when needed. I believe in full transparency and clarity.

Who this is for

This works best if:

  • you are accountable for growth or client results

  • SEO matters, but you don’t want to manage it

  • you’ve outgrown one-off SEO vendors

  • you want organic search to compound, not drift

  • you want an actual partner in this

This role is most often used by fractional CMOs, in-house marketing leaders, founders/CEOs, and marketing agencies.

Who this is not for

This is not a fit if:

  • You just want keywords and meta descriptions

  • You want SEO “done cheap”

  • You want backlinks without strategy

  • You don’t want SEO to influence how content or the site works

  • You want AI tools automating everything

This role requires collaboration, not delegation into a void.

  • Each time I onboard a client, she is one of my first calls. My clients have seen tremendous success in Google presence based solely upon Jessica's recommendations.

  • What really sets her apart is that she doesn’t just do SEO” — she thinks like a business partner.

  • Working with Jessica has been one of the best business decisions I’ve made.

  • She takes the time to truly understand my business, my products, and my long-term goals, and then translates that into clear, actionable SEO strategy that actually drives growth.

  • Jessica is knowledgable, relatable and a life saver! She is my go to for all of my clients SEO needs.

  • The monthly reports we get are really helpful to see where things are working and she always has great suggestions for things the team can work on.

  • She explains things in plain English, is super patient with my questions, and has already made a big difference in my website’s visibility.

  • The results speak for themselves — in just a couple of months, my sales from Google searches have increased by 100%! I loved the monthly updates and the training she gave me to keep things running smoothly.

  • She is consistently available for questions and provides clear information when we encounter road blocks.

  • She goes above and beyond, making sure we understand the changes that are implemented into our website and providing educational videos and documents which we are able to refer back to later to upkeep the website ourselves.

  • She proactively identifies opportunities, explains the why behind recommendations, and makes sure every step aligns with sustainable, long-term growth rather than quick wins.

  • She really knows her stuff when it comes to SEO and has helped me understand what works and what doesn’t.

Pricing

Baseline: Fractional SEO Lead

$2,500/month

This covers:

  • SEO stategy ownership

  • Growth planning

  • Priortization

  • Coordinating across teams

  • Ongoing leadership and accountability

This is the cost to own the channel.

Variable budgets (clients controlled)

Execution budgets are separate and transparent.

Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • Digital PR budget (you set the max spend, I guide the strategy)

  • Content production (only if you don’t already have writers)

  • Specialized writers (legal, medical, technical, etc.)

There are no bundled black boxes, no surprising upsells, or pretending that SEO is “all-inclusive”.

The final pricing will be a combination of my baseline pricing and the client’s variable budget. I will give my recommended budget for this based on industry and competition.

Why this works

When SEO fails, it’s because…

  • No one is realistic about it

  • No one integrates it

  • No one aligns it

  • No one owns it

This solves that.

By working with me, you get…

  • SEO leadership without another agency

  • Execution without micromanagement

  • Strategy without abstraction

  • Collaboration

Plus, your clients will get better results, which means you can get paid more.
