FAQs about Working With Jessica Stegner SEO

Pricing and Engagement

It depends on your starting point and how much support you need, but most clients fall into these ranges:

  • Strategy (SEO Growth Plan): $750–$1,500

  • Implementation (3–6 months): $1,000–$2,500/month

  • SEO diagnosis for underperforming SEO: $3,500–$5,000

  • Full SEO 90 day reset (strategy + implementation): typically around $9,000

I’ll always recommend the right starting point based on your situation.

How much does your SEO cost?

Both.

Most clients start with a one-time strategy, then move into a focused 3–6 month implementation phase. After that, ongoing support is optional.

Do you offer one-time projects or monthly services?

No.

I don’t require long-term contracts.
Initial work is either:

  • strategy only, or

  • strategy + a defined 3–6 month implementation phase

After that, ongoing work is month-to-month with 30 days’ notice.

Do I have to commit long-term?

Why do you require payment upfront for strategy?

Strategy requires a significant upfront investment of time and analysis.

Payment upfront ensures that the time I dedicate to your project is respected and protected (ghosting is unfortunately common in this industry).

Services and Scope

Sometimes.

For businesses where I have enough context and source material, I often write content myself.

For industries like medical, legal, or financial, I recommend working with a specialized copywriter, but I can guide the strategy and referrals.

Do you write content?

Both.

Strategy always comes first, but my implementation packages include hands-on work, not just recommendations.

Do you do implementation or just strategy?

Do you offer consulting only?

Yes.

Some businesses and agencies hire me for strategy and ongoing consulting. This works best if you already have someone internally who can implement.

Do you work with agencies or in-house teams?

Yes.

I work with:

  • founder-led businesses

  • small marketing teams

  • and marketing agencies that need SEO strategy or oversight

What about backlinks and PR?

Backlinks and PR are sometimes part of the strategy, but they typically require a separate budget.

The approach depends on your industry, goals, and what’s realistic for your business.

Results and Expectations

How long does it take to see results?

It depends on your starting point and industry

Some improvements can happen quickly (especially with the right strategy), but SEO is ultimately a long-term growth channel.

Most clients start seeing meaningful traction during the 3–6 month implementation phase.

What results should I expect?

The goal is always to increase:
👉 revenue or new customers from organic search

Everything else (traffic, rankings, visibility) is only valuable if it contributes to that.

What metrics do you focus on?

The primary focus is always revenue or new customers from organic search.

Supporting metrics depend on what we’re working on, but may include:

  • conversions

  • qualified traffic

  • keyword visibility

  • engagement

For seasonal businesses, I also look closely at year-over-year growth.

Differentiation

What makes you different from other SEO consultants?

A few things:

  • I focus on revenue, not just rankings or traffic

  • I act as a business partner in a leadership role, not an outsider

  • I prioritize strategy and testing over just “doing SEO tasks”

  • I look for both quick wins and long-term growth opportunities

  • you work directly with me, no account managers or handoffs

  • I adjust based on real data, not assumptions

  • I’m honest about what’s working and what’s not

  • I think beyond SEO. If something else is impacting your results, I’ll flag it

How is your approach different from agencies?

Most agencies focus on activity (publishing content, building links, etc.).

I focus on:

  • identifying the highest-impact opportunities

  • aligning SEO with your business goals

  • and making sure the work actually leads to measurable results

It’s a more strategic, hands-on, and integrated approach.

It’s more like an embedded partnership in your business for growth, not a outside agency.

Modern SEO

Do you optimize for AI search results?

Yes.

AI search visibility is built into how I approach SEO, not treated as a separate service.

That includes:

  • structuring content for clarity and relevance

  • aligning with search intent

  • and making sure your site is positioned to show up in both traditional and AI-driven search experiences

How does AI impact SEO?

AI is changing how people search and how results are delivered, but the fundamentals still matter.

Clear strategy, strong content, and alignment with user intent are more important than ever.

The difference now is making sure your content is structured and positioned in a way that both search engines and AI systems can understand and surface.
